Jesus said to the religious leaders of his day these notable words,  

“You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.”

All of the scripture testifies about him! Doesn't this seem like an exaggerated claim? What about the dietary laws in Leviticus? What about the countless stories of men and women obeying or disobeying God? How do the epic stories about Abraham, Isaac, Moses, Ruth, Elijah, and Esther relate to Jesus?

These are great questions. In our sermon series Revealed, starting on August 2nd, we are going to learn how, to quote the Jesus Story Book Bible, ‘every story whispers Jesus’ name!’ 

In this series we will investigate some of the great Old Testament narratives in their original context. But we will also place them within the larger biblical story of redemption that comes to a fulfillment in Jesus.

Not only do certain predictive prophecies point toward Jesus but so do various Old Testament types, ceremonies, symbols, great figures and significant theological themes.  By the end of this series I promise you that we will never read the Old Testament in the same way again!
